Sasikala Performs Jayalalithaa's Last Rites

Funeral rites of late Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa, began at Marina Beach, in Chennai, late in the evening today. Tamil Nadu Governor Vidyasagar Rao and Union minister Venkaiah Naidu laid wreaths at the body. Armed Forces personnel gave a 21-gun salute. A teary-eyed Panneer Selvam paid his last respects to the departed party leader and mentor, with flowers. The crowds surged at the burial grounds, on the beach, with the memorial of Jaya's friend, philosopher and guide, MGR just 20 ft. away.
