Come June 2, which happens to be the Telangana formation day, state capital Hyderabad is going to get a gift from its government. The government of Telangana is planning to launch the prestigious Hyderabad Metro Rail (HMR) Project on the eve of the state formation day. Commemorating the second formation day of the state, T-govt is contemplating to inaugurate HMR and start its operations soon.
KT Ramarao, who recently took charge as Municipal Minister, made a formal announcement that most-anticipated Hyderabad Metro Rail would be inaugurated in June. KTR said that government has planned to launch metro service on June 2. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is likely to be the chief guest who will be inaugurating metro service. If this happens, it'd be big news as so far Narendra Modi hasn't visited to the new state of Telangana yet.
KTR said, "We are working out the dates with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao. While it is almost confirmed that the train would be launched in June, we will announce the dates shortly."
Globally, L & T Metro Rail Hyderabad is the largest urban rapid mass transit system is being executed in Public Private Partnership (PPP) mode and it's all set to be launched in June.
