During his prime when he was hailed as the most successful liquor and aviation baron, Vijay Mallya was invited by several prestigious business schools in India to teach the secrets of his business model and inspire the management students.
Now, the tainted businessman's failures have entered the text book in the same business schools to teach the students about how not to do business the Vijay Mallya way. Already, the Kingfisher Airlines' head honcho's failures have become a case study for the students at India's reputed IIMs in Bengaluru, Lucknow, Indore and Ahmedabad.
Even the country's other premiere management schools like XLRI Jamshedpur and ISB Hyderabad have began teaching their students about Mallya's lifestyle and the way he carried out his business, entrepreneurship, brand management, corporate governance and cases on his 9,000 crore bank loans etc.
