Kondapalli Fort to be AP’s Golconda


The historic Kondapalli fort in vijayawada is going to be developed on the lines of Golconda fort in Hyderabad. The tourism department is chalking out plans to revive the old glory of the fort. They are also planning to start a light and sound show on the lines of one in Golconda.

The project will be taken up under public-private partnership (PPP) method. The state government had already sanctioned 10 Crore for the fort. The artefacts belonging to the fort which are in Hyderabad will be brought back to Kondapally.

Plans are on to provide facilities like food courts and gazebos with modern toilets. The state government is also proposing a rope way from Kondapalli village to the fort to attract tourists.
