The AP Government has announced a competition for logo designers who can come up with the best logo for Amaravati Capital that reflects Amaravati culture and traditions. AP CM Nara Chandrababu Naidu himself announced a cash award of Rs. 1 Lakh for the best design.
Chandrababu also proposed a few guidelines while designing the logo. The logo must feature a rising sun and it should also reflect the lifestyle of Amaravati citizens who are living by the Krishna River. The crops cultivated in Amaravati should be prominent in the logo while it should also reflect the essence of Amaravati as the people's abode.
The competition is open to anyone from anywhere and the deadline to send the entries is 15th October. The finished logo must be uploaded on the website www.crda.ap.gov.in. While the first best logo will be awarded 1 lakh, the second best logo will be given Rs. 50,000 and the third best will be awarded a cash prize of Rs. 25,000.
