Google fined record $2.7 billion by EU


The European Commission found that the US tech giant Google used its search results to unfairly steer customers to its own shopping platform in a case that dates back to 2010. European Commissioner for Competitor Margrethe Vestager said that the Google has done illegally under the EU anti-trust rules. The EU found that the most highly ranked rival service appears on an average only on page four. Thus, the Google denying the other companies to compete. But, the Google disagreed with the EU.
