After getting the national attention by moving the private bill for special status to Andhra Pradesh in Parliament, Congress senior leader and MP KVP Ramachandra Rao has taken up yet another big task now.
This time, KVP is fighting for re-installation of the portrait of his close friend and former CM of the erstwhile Andhra Pradesh YS Rajasekhara Reddy in the AP Assembly.
The life size portrait has been installed in the AP Assembly premises by the then Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy. After the bifurcation of AP, the TDP government removed the portrait.
Coinciding the seventh death anniversary of YSR in September, KVP shot off a letter to Speaker Kodela Siva Prasada Rao and requested him to reinstall YSR's photo. He said the removal of the departed leader's photo was not appropriate on the part of Babu's government.
