RBI Governor Urjit Patel missing after notes ban
Reserve Bank of India (RBI) Governor Urjit Patel has been missing ever since the ban of 500 and 1,000 rupees notes, on November 8th, by Modi. He was present beside Finance Secretary Shaktikanth Das, at a media conference after the notes ban. Ever since he has mysteriously disappeared. This has raised eyebrows. Meanwhile, it is learnt that Modi is angry with Urjit Patel, as he is the one who had assured that the fallout of the notes ban can be tackled easily. He had said that the three lakh ATMs in the country can easily be recalibrated within two days. Modi went ahead with banning notes, based on these assurances.
