91 killed as Patna-Indore Express train derails; rescue operations on
At least 91 passengers of Patna-Indore Express died on the spot and nearly 200 have suffered grievous injuries, as the train derailed at Pukhrayan of Kanpur Dehat district in Uttar Pradesh (UP), in the wee hours on Sunday. National Disaster Relief Forces (NDRF) have been rushed to the spot and are busy extricating the dead bodies, from a damage bogie. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has expressed shock over the accident and expressed grief over the dead. Railway minister Suresh Prabhu will visit the site of the mishap and supervise relief operations. Medical teams have been pressed into service for first aid to the injured.
