Two Rajya Sabha seats in Telangana are falling vacant this June. V.Hanumantha Rao and Gundu Sudha Rani are completing their terms. The notification for these elections will come out in this month end or first week of May. Ruling Telangana Rashtra Samiti is likely to get both the seats very easily. Telangana CM KCR is planning to give these seats to those who worked for the state agitation so as to avoid any controversy. Captain Lakshmikanth Rao, Newspaper Editor Rajam, TRS Polit bureau member Devarakonda Damodhar Rao and one more Muslim leader are the likely contenders. Only one of Lakshmikanth Rao and Rajam will get a chance as they both belong to same community. Gundu Sudha Rani who ditched TDP and joined TRS is also expecting a second term. If the Chief Minister is planning to replace the Home Minister, Nayani Narasimha Reddy may be sent to Rajya Sabha. In case Nayani gets a seat, there will be a chance to cabinet reshuffle. Lets who finally gets KCR’s nod.
