The general impression that after YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, there will be no second in command in the YSR Congress will be erased soon.
Jagan's trusted lieutenant and the recently elected Rajya Sabha MP Vijayasai Reddy has been elevated in the party again. He has been appointed as party Disciplinary Committee member.
The committee is the apex body in the party which takes crucial decisions against any leader who defied party Constitution.
Among eight members nominated in the committee, Reddy has been given top slot in the list. Surprisingly, many senior leaders like Botsa Satyanarayana and Dharmana Prasada Rao and other names were not seen in the list.
Some leaders Ummareddy Venkateswarlu, Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy and K Parthasarathi names were figured.
Political circles says, It is clear that Vijayasai has got more powers in the party and his services will be utilised for party growth. Vijayasai had also been provided special room in the central office in Hyderabad.
