Hyderabad High Court took a severe objection on Outlook magazine in Smitha Sabharwal case. The court agreed with the view, the cartoon and the write up about her in the magazine are insulting.
The court felt the apology will not be enough in this case. The court also opined that there is no wrong in Telangana government allotting 15 Lakhs for the lady IAS for fighting the case.
Given the court’s comments in this case, Outlook magazine may land up in trouble very soon. Smitha Sabharwal is the additional secretary to the Telangana Chief Minister and is known to be one of the very efficient IAS officers in the state.
