In a protest to 'illegal' cases framed against him, TDP MLA from Gannavaram constituency has given a rude shock to his own party as he decided to fight against the cases booked against him by local police. Instead of opting for bail, Vamsi decided to fight it in the court and was willing to go to jail till the court declares him as vindicate.
Vamsi was booked as A1 in a dharna staged against the government over removing illegal constructions. Vamsi, however, begs a different story altogether. He claims that he was there to ask protesters to call off dharna.
Now TDP senior leaders from the district have stepped in to clam down Vamsi. Machilipatnam MP Konakalla Narayana, Krishna district TDP president Bachchala Arjunudu met Vamsi in his residence to console him. But Vamsi wasn't convinced and decided to fight the issue legally. TDP too worried that if ruling MLA sits in jail it would affect party's image. Meanwhile, Vamsi alleges that senior leaders within the party were behind the cases against him. With this prevailing conditions, Krishna district politics have shot up. Already, party supremo Chandrababu Naidu is monitoring the issue closely and he'd soon call Vamsi to listen to his version and resolve the issue amicably.
