Naidu’s willy decision to keep Telangana govt at bay

Andhra Pradesh government on Wednesday released a circular about the shifting of all the employees from Hyderabad to Amaravati by June 27th. The state government had given exception to those employees working in the institutions under Schedule 9 and 10 of Andhra Pradesh Reorganization Act. This is to ensure that Telangana government do not take over the assets of these institutions. Recently Supreme Court had ordered to divide these institutions in population ration while Telangana government is looking to take them all. The court asked Center to intervene if the issue is not solved amicably in two months. AP government felt that it is not safe to vacate these offices as they got the statutory right and exempted those employees from shift. All the departments of the Secretariat will be accommodated in the interim secretariat at Velagapudi and the remaining departments will be housed in rented premises available in Krishna and Guntur district. The government identified 8,00,000 sq feet of office space in these districts to house the employees and their offices.
