Ever since the split of two Telugu-speaking states took place, Andhra Pradesh chief minister Chandrababu Naidu and TDP members incessantly projected their leader's contribution in Hyderabad's development. Considering him as the leader with 9 years of experience as CM, people anticipated that Naidu can keep things on track for bifurcated AP. During 2014 polls, Jana Sena founder Pawan Kalyan unconditionally supported Chandrababu Naidu on these lines and BJP leadership hailed him as 'man behind Hyderabad's progress.'
But today, anyone paying attention to Venkaiah Naidu's speech at the foundation stone laying ceremony of Raja Mahendravaram airport could term it as shocker thrown at Chandrababu Naidu. Speaking at the event, the union minister for urban development attributes Hyderabad's development to YS Rajasekhar Reddy along with Sr. NTR, Vengal Rao and Babu.
Welcoming his comments, few people opine: although Venkaiah appraised all the CMs', it is Chandrababu Naidu who ensured a place for Hyderabad in world map.
The senior BJP leader also fired at opposition leaders for attempting to alienate the special package with special status. "BJP has earlier agreed for special status, but an equally worth package was announced due to some technical issues and political contempt," clarifies the union minister about special package.
