Telugu anchor turned actress Mallika passes away

Anchor turned actress Mallika has passed away in Bangalore today morning. She was 39 and survived by her husband and a son. Her husband has been working in Bangalore. Reportedly she was suffering from illness for some time was in a state of coma for the past 2 weeks and spent her last days in a hospital in Bangalore. Her funeral is likely to be held in Hyderabad on Tuesday. Her original name is Abhinava and she acted in Venkatesh’s Kalisundam Raa, Ninne Pelladutha and many other movies. Mallika started her career as an anchor and then created an image for herself with few popular serials. She also acted in Rajakumarudu movie along with hero Krishna in the year 1999 directed by Raghavendra Rao.
