USA Today-US to suspend fast H-1B visa application processing from April 3


Foreigners aiming for temporary jobs at high-tech US companies will undergo a longer visa approval process after the Donald Trump administration announced it will temporarily suspend expediting applications for H-1B visas from April 3 this year. Citizenship and immigration services said on Friday that it will suspend premium processing up to six months beginning from April 3. The US government currently caps H-1B visas at 65,000 a year and additional 20,000 for those, who have earned an advanced college degree in the US.
