B.Tech student beaten up in the name of Birthday bumps

Senior students of an engineering college in the outskirts of Hyderabad, beat up a students with belts and towels, in the name of birthday bumps. Even when he protested, they did not stop. They had their fill of drinks of biryani and went on sadistically, telling him that they are doing it for him to remember them forever. The hapless student fell to the floor in a pulp. He said that the same culture is being followed in almost every engineering college in the city. Even the lecturers shrugged it off as a common occurrence.
