Kakinada beach tragedy (updates); 5 drowned, 3 critical

Five students drowned, while three others are in a critical condition, after going for a bath at NTR beach, in Kakinada, in East Godavari district. Three students, who came to the shore in a breathless state were admitted to the hospital. Three bodies, two girls and one boy, were washed ashore. The police have pressed life guards in to service to search for two others who are missing. Eye witnesses said that as the students entered the water, a huge tidal wave came from the sea and swept them away.
