Artists Performance:

Mahesh Babu: He lives up to the reputation of one of the finest actors of Indian Cinema yet again. 'Srimanthudu' is one man show of Prince. He carries the whole film on his shoulders so beautifully and delivers an intense/power-packed performance when required. His body language and dialogue delivery deserves a special mention. He dances superbly in the 'Charuseela...' song and performs equally well in the action sequences.

Shruti Haasan looks cute in college scenes and very glamorous when it comes to songs. She hardly scores any brownie points for her acting skills.

Jagapathi Babu is perfect as Mahesh's Father in the movie and their combination scenes were really worth watching. Sukanya's comeback to Telugu Cinema will be appreciated. Rajendra Prasad gives a matured performance. Mukesh Rushi, Sampath Raj and rest of the villain gang did a fine job. Rahul Ravindran is strictly okay. Poorna makes an appearance in 'Rama Rama' song.

Plus Points:

- Mahesh's One Man Show

- Direction

- Background Score

- Cinematography

- Second Half

Minus Points:

- Pace of the Film (First Half-Run Time 163 min)

Analysis:

After a blockbuster like 'Mirchi', Koratala Siva teamed up with Mahesh Babu for a subject with social message. Did the combo really work to set the cash registers ringing?

Couple of songs composed by DSP, such as Jatha Kalise & Charuseela, were so nice and his BGM is an asset to the movie. Coming to picturization, It's 'Jaago Jaago' which steals the show. Cinematography by Madhie is fabulous as usual. Dialogues are thought-provoking and packs a punch. Editing could have been better. Production Values are grand.

Koratala Siva always believed in content-driven films and 'Srimanthudu' is no different. The novel concept of 'Adopting A Village' coupled with Mahesh's superb performance & Siva's brilliant writing skills has done wonders for this entertainer. Siva's idea of developing a village might inspire many people. Except for the snail paced narration, there is nothing much to complain about 'Srimanthudu'. Finally, Mahesh Babu is back with a bang...hurry up guys, grab your tickets and do watch this well-made product.

Box Office: 'Srimanthudu' attained a massive release Worldwide, the biggest in Mahesh's career, and it is also likely to be Superstar's best opener till date. Thanks to the wide release (Tamil dub) and hike in ticket prices in few territories. It should collect a share of at least Rs 58 crore in full run to become a hit. Hopefully, Positive WOM helps it achieve the target.

Verdict: A Billionaire with a Golden Heart!
