KCR’s Master Plan to meet a roadblock in high court?

Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao had unleashed a Master Plan by decreasing the days needed for the conducting of GHMC elections. This move which was said to finish the elections in time, is indirectly aimed to corner opposition who are not prepared to face the election in such short period.

Congress Leader Marri Sasidhar Reddy approached the Hyderabad High Court over this and the court asked the government counsel about why such a decision is taken. The counsel informed that the elections can not be completed within the time frame set by the high court if the new schedule is not followed.

Finally the high court slashed the G.O of compacting the schedule and extended the deadline for the elections till February 9th. So the elections process will happen as usually in 31 days excluding public holidays.
