New Year is one of the rare occasions where people of all the religion will take part in. Likewise, people of Kanigiri Town of Prakasam district have also welcomed the New Year grandly with massive celebrations like every year. It is a tradition for Kanigiri youth of bringing dancers and other stage artists for the eve.
Spending lakhs on dance troupe brought from Nellore, the locals hold the affair in much bigger way this year. Big surprise at the event was MLA Kadiri Babu Rao danced along with other local leaders, government officials and dancers.
Usually, political leaders don't express their inner feelings and try to be innocent and calm at such events. But, Babu Rao kept his egos aside and chose to enjoy like a normal person. He was seen blissful throughout the event. In fact, this kind of gesture will help the leaders to become close to public.
Babu Rao has started the event by cutting cake. Then he shook his leg along with dancers. Municipal Chairman Masthan, TDP Mandal President Pulla Reddy and Pamur Sarpanch Manohar have also participated in the New Year Celebrations. Later, Babu Rao greeted the people wishing all the success in the New Year.
