Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu was stunned with the real estate boom in Vijayawada and Krishna district. He warned people that the high land prices and rents may hinder the development of the capital region.
“Rents and land prices definitely can not be higher than Hyderabad and Mumbai. Such overnight increase will only hinder the development of the region. People should realize this and make temporary sacrifices if needed”, Chandrababu warned.
Vijayawada land rates are always on higher side. They further shot up after Amaravati was announced as the next capital. Recently rents also shot up after government decided to move the administration to the capital region by next June.
