YSR Congress MP from Rajampet constituency in Kadapa, PV Mithun Reddy has allegedly slapped an Air India official. As per reports, Mithun slapped Air India Airport Manager in Tirupati for not allowing his relative to board flight after the boarding time is closed.
The incident occurred on Thursday when Mithun Reddy went to the cabin of AI Manager Rajasekhar and picked up an argument with him. When Mithun requsted Rajasekhar to issue boarding pass for his relative, the latter gently turned down Mithun Reddy's request as the boarding time is closed. Mithun reportedly lost his cool and slapped Rajasekhar.
Going into details, Mithun had reached the Tirupati airport about 20 to 25 minutes before the flight's departure with some of his relatives to board AI 541 to Delhi where the Parliament session is being held. AI Manager Rajasekhar didn't allow through as the boadring time for a domestic flight is at least 45 minutes.
Police have registered a criminal case against Mithun Reddy and an investigation is going on. The incident yet again shown the VIP racism. It may be recalled that Mithun Reddy has beaten Daggubati Purandeswari and won with a thumping majority in 2014 general elections. He is the youngest MP from Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
