K.Apoorva Rao hailing from Begum Bazaar, Hyderabad who previously worked three years for TCS in Chennai as Systems Enginner, will be formally inducted into the Telangana state IPS cadre making her the first woman officer recruit after the formation of the state.
The lady found job satisfaction to be minimal in IT and so took Civils. She is currently being trained along with the 67th batch regular recruit (RR) at the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National Police Academy in Hyderabad. Apoorva gives it all to her family on this achievement as their support was the biggest force that guided her during the physically-demanding training.
When asked how she felt being the first woman officer recruit to be inducted into the new state, she said: “It is a very happy moment and a reason to feel proud too.” Today the young lady stands tall as an inspiration for women across the state and even the country, to take up some jobs.
