Congress party seem to be banking hard on Rohit Vemula’s suicide for electoral gains in GHMC elections. The issue is slowly subsiding and the classes were announced to start in HCA today. But Congress entered the campus yet again to rake the issue.
It is said that Rohit Vemula’s mother along with others will sit on fast at the University. Congress is deploying its Vice President, Rahul Gandhi to fan the issue. He is likely to come tonight and spend the night at the central university.
All the surveys are projecting a distant fifth position for Congress in the GHMC elections. So the party wants to rake in Dalit sentiment and cash in votes. Lets see where this issue leads to.
