KCR, Akbaruddin debate on notes ban
Majlis Ittehadul Muslimeen legislator in Telangana Assembly went all hammer and tongs at Prime Minister Modi for banning big notes. Whatever Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) does is nationalism and whatever other parties do is anti-national according to Centre, he remarked sarcastically. He said that if BJP had courage it will refuse accept party funds in huge sums in elections. KCR countered this and said that it is not in the State's purview to criticise the Centre. The state can only focus on people's problems arising out of any issue, he said. Akbaruddin jested that he was trying to support TRS, while KCR has become lawyer for Modi. The whole house burst into laughter at his remarks.
