Looks like YSRCP Chief YS Jagan's desperate plan to counter the TDP government by flagging off a major statewide political movement demanding the special status has been nipped off in the bud by a powerful Delhi honcho. Reportedly, this top national leader called up and lambasted Jagan against any major protests.
Recently, Jagan's week long hunger strike demanding special status to AP failed to create any ripples in the political circles and even the common people did not to sympathize with Jagan's efforts. Many felt that Jagan's show was merely a move to gain political advantage and this fizzed out the YSRCP boss' spirits and he was looking for other ways to attack Chandrababu's government.
As a ray of hope for Jagan, PM Modi and Chandrababu Naidu did not promise anything clearly regarding the special status to AP. Jagan planned to capitalize on this failure of Chandrababu but was immediately warned by the Delhi leader against it. Apparently, the top leader even warned Jagan of dire consequences if he continued with this protest plans.
