Reddy To Retire as politician from 2019

Noted leader from Rayalaseema region and ruling TDP MP from Anantapur JC Diwakar Reddy seems vexed with the political life he enjoyed in the last 40 years. He declared that he will not contest 2019 election as he decided  to retire from active politics.

As an elected MP , Reddy said he will continue in the post until his term ends . Later, he will not take part in the electoral battle he fought as MLA and MP from his native Anantapur district. He expressed anguish over diminishing the role of legislators in the legislative bodies and confined the MLAs and MPs to cast their vote during debates in the houses.

Reddy joined TDP before 2014 election as he strongly opposed the Congress decision to the bifurcation of the state. He has been minister YS Rajasekhar Reddy, Kotla Vijayabhaskar Reddy and other congress governments in the undivided Andhra Pradesh. Speculations doing rounds that JC Reddy's son will foray into politics and stepped into his father's shoes before the 2019 election.

Retail giant Future Group was earlier in talks to acquire Heritage Fresh. Future Group's honcho Kishore Biyani was reported to have offered a lucrative deal but somehow the deal didn't materialize or the assets of Nara family would have been much bigger.

Facebook to join IPL officially?

Global social media giant Facebook is reportedly bidding to buy the digital rights of tenth season of Indian Premier League, one of the world's leading cricket tournament. India-based IPL is attracting many of the world's biggest companies including Twitter, Reliance Jio and Amazon Co. This unconfirmed development would apparently make it the biggest digital deal in cricket till date.

Speculation has it that Facebook already transferred 10,000$ to buy the bidding papers from BCCI and October 25th is the tentative date for an official announcement. This deal between BCCI and Facebook shows how big Mark Zuckerberg is betting on India.

Considering the internet's spread across the villages in India, there's a no-look-back situation for digital media and at the same time, there's no dearth for cricket fans on social media sites. Earlier this year, Facebook keenly tracked the season 9 of IPL where all eight teams collectively recorded a phenomenal 14 Crore viewership.

Also, every 9 of 10 Twitter users in India are considered to be steadfast cricket fans. Statistically, in 2016, Twitter witnessed 56% growth in tweet count compared to last year and logged 1.06crore tweets during IPL-9. It also could be a sign of the start of period of increased internet users, particularly in villages.

However, Facebook refused to either comment or rule out the reports. Other giants are seriously racing up to battle Facebook with a proper bidding deal.

Donald Trump rakes up H-1B visa again!

During his recent election rally, the Republican US Presidential nominee Donald Trump has once again kicked up the H-1B Visa row and vowed to protect jobs for Americans.

Trump alleged that US companies are importing low-wage workers from other countries on H-1B visas, which is leading to the continual rise in the unemployment in the country.

"Many mothers across this nation are worried their sons and daughters not finding jobs after college, and they are right to be worried. Outsourcing jobs to other countries is one of the biggest threats to this great nation. Companies are importing low-wage workers on H-1B work visas to snatch jobs from college-trained Americans," Trump allegedly told cheering supporters.

Trump pledged that he would protect the jobs of young Americans and make sure every able college graduate finds a good job. Trump also said that he would protect the well-being of the lawful immigrants and curb the illegal foreign worker admission. His plan is to select immigrants based on their ability of having a financially self-sufficient life in the US.

H-1B work visa is the most sought-after for IT professionals, particularly for Indian IT sector. According to recent reports, Trump is working towards establishing new immigration controls to ensure that jobs are offered to educated American workers first. He allegedly calls it a way of securing the jobs for the Americans.

Babu's Government Set To Shock Telangana?

After the Telangana's Singareni Collieries stopped coal supply to Andhra Pradesh citing defaults in dues without prior notice, the angry Chandrababu government is all set to give a strong return shock to the KCR government in the similar fashion.

Andhra Pradesh is yet to clear Rs. 2,000 crore to the Singareni Collieries Ltd. On the other hand, AP is supposed to get more than Rs. 4,000 crores from several Telangana electricity companies.

This gave a direct access to the AP government to hold talks with Coal India without depending on the Singareni  Collieries Ltd. If the talks with Coal India end up being fruitful, AP will permanently bud goodbye to the Singareni Collieries Ltd and even issue ultimatum to Telangana about not supplying electricity unless the dues are paid.

Singareni Collieries Ltd is close to Andhra Pradesh and this helps in cost cutting in terms of transportation charges. However, the coal quality in Singareni is below par in comparison with the coal that is imported from Coal India.

If AP Genco's efforts pay off after talks with Coal India, AP will put an end to taking coal from Singareni Collieries and would also rethink its game plan in supplying electricity to Telangana.

KCR's Smartest Move Ever

The twenty one newly formed districts of Telangana are considered as a boon for the jumping japangs of many other political parties who are in the TRS. Inspired by TRS' Akarsh launched by KCR, several MLAs of TDP, Congress have ditched their parties and jumped into TRS. And to accommodate all these leaders and give seats to them in the next elections is definitely a major challenge to KCR and TRS party.

With forming new districts KCR played it very smart and it forced the Centre to form new constituencies and thus to accommodate more leaders in the next elections. This tactic will help KCR to give befitting counter TDP, Congress in Telangana who are hoping that the leaders who wouldn't get ticket would comeback to their parties.

This isn't all. With formation of new districts, Centre has to allot new IAS and civil service officers which is difficult given it's not practical to allot new officers and already there's a scarcity of civil service officers. This gives Telangana government to promote its group officers to the next level and accommodate the people they want in the posts.

On other hand, the new districts have also boosted the property prices and realty business has shot up in the new district headquarters which in turn many TRS leaders get advantage of the new move. And by all these, it's a win-win-win situation for KCR and TRS whereas it's a big blow to Opposition parties. In this way, it's politically smartest move by KCR.

To bring more transparency and to reach the benefits if the schemes to the needy, Naidu said the dashboards will be installed at all assembly constituencies and district head quarters.

On the occasion, Lokesh delivered a stern warning to leaders saying they will be neglected as well if they neglect party workers. He added that Party is closely monitoring the works done by each leader and periodical reviews have been reaching to Chandrababu's desk. 'Leaders will be decorated with key posts only based on their efforts for the growth and welfare of the party. Only one post will be allotted to one member,' Lokesh announced.

KCR Bows Down, New Count Is 30?

In what can be termed as shutting down of agitation for new districts in Telangana, the state Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao responded positively to create three more districts, from the already planned 17, which would take total number to 30. During a meet with cabinet members and party legislators, CM KCR seems to have reacted in favor of 3 new districts where the government faced severe protests from opposition parties - Gadwal (Mahabubnagar), Sirisilla (Karimnagar) and Jangoan (Warangal).

The continuous agitations by Congress party members, DK Aruna in Gadwal (Mahabubnagar), K Mrutyunjayam in Sirisilla (Karimnagar) and Ponnala Lakshmaiah in Jangoan (Warangal) doesn't seem to have gone unnoticed. Also, members of Telangana Joint Action Committee staged protests in support of formation of new districts. Earlier last week, Congress party MLA of Gadwal, DK Aruna submitted resignation as part of her protest for new district.

'Let's not disappoint people demanding for new districts and we shall agree on their demand,' is how KCR seems to have sounded at the meeting. The TRS government had already declared 17 new districts to the existing 10 which would come into effect from 11th October to coincide with Dussehra. Given this promise by KCR, it remains to be seen whether the 3 districts will come into effect from Dussehra or will they find a new date.

On the other day, KCR directed officials to re-moniker Shamshabad district as Ranga Reddy and adjusted few mandals of Ranga Reddy into Mahabubnagar. However, Congress and TDP still allege that redrawing Telangana's district boundaries is KCR's strategy to fix his political opponents.
