Noted leader from Rayalaseema region and ruling TDP MP from Anantapur JC Diwakar Reddy seems vexed with the political life he enjoyed in the last 40 years. He declared that he will not contest 2019 election as he decided to retire from active politics.
As an elected MP , Reddy said he will continue in the post until his term ends . Later, he will not take part in the electoral battle he fought as MLA and MP from his native Anantapur district. He expressed anguish over diminishing the role of legislators in the legislative bodies and confined the MLAs and MPs to cast their vote during debates in the houses.
Reddy joined TDP before 2014 election as he strongly opposed the Congress decision to the bifurcation of the state. He has been minister YS Rajasekhar Reddy, Kotla Vijayabhaskar Reddy and other congress governments in the undivided Andhra Pradesh. Speculations doing rounds that JC Reddy's son will foray into politics and stepped into his father's shoes before the 2019 election.
