With Andhra Pradesh government serious on shifting the administration from Hyderabad to Amaravati, the hoteliers of the common capital are feeling heat. The occupancy rate of the hotels post the bifurcation is already on a decline and they say the situation will deteriorate further with the capital construction beginning.
Several hotels in Lakidi-Ka-Pool belt solely depends on the industrialists and people coming to Hyderabad on various goverment works. The AP government had already decided to have the next session of Assembly in Amaravati. Only the hotels in Madhapur and Gachibowli are to be least affected due to IT crowd.
Already the visitors to Secretariat are on decline after the Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu is mostly working out of Vijayawada. Telangana government is trying its level best to boost tourism but that can not cover up the losses due to AP administration shift.
