AP Assembly Sessions In Resorts?

Couple of weeks ago, there were reports that the Andhra Pradesh Assembly's winter sessions will take place in the AP capital Amaravati. The move was prominently discussed after the initiatives taken by the Speaker Kodela Sivaprasad Rao.

This morning, the Speaker met CM Chandrababu Naidu and discussed about setting up the temporary Assembly complex with a budget of Rs. 15 crore. However, Babu cautioned Kodela about the opposition parties who have already been complaining about the huge expenditure on the Amaravati inaugural event.

Further, Chandrababu left the decision of constructing a temporary Assembly complex to Kodela and keeping the less time to set up temporary Assembly in mind, Babu suggested him to at least conduct the budget sessions at the Haailand Resorts in Mangalagiri, Guntur. The Speaker will soon visit Haailand Resorts along with the officials to check the feasibilities of a temporary Assembly and to carry out the construction activities.
