In a big relief to ABN News channel and its staff, the Supreme Court of India has directed MSOs (Multiple System Operators) to revive the telecast of the channel in the Telangana state. Issuing notices to Centre and MSOs in the matter, the Apex court asked Centre to circulate the verdict copies to all the district collectors and asked them to see to it that blacklisted channel's services are revived.
The Supreme Court also advised Centre to provide security to MSOs if needed. Supreme Court further asked to implement Telecom Disputes Settlement and Appellate Tribunal (TDSAT) directions issued in the matter of blacklist of TV9 news channel.
With this, all lines are cleared for the telecast of ABN news channel in Telangana. After 506 days of long ban, the channel is likely to be revived in the new state.
