In yet another tragic incident of Telugu students losing life in the US, a 24-year-old student named Putta Naresh of Bandipalem village in Jaggayyapeta mandal in Krishna district was feared drowned in the Livermore river in California, US, on Sunday evening.
Naresh was pursuing his second year of Masters in Science programme in a California-based university. Naresh had earlier completed his MCA from JNTU, Hyderabad after which he joined the Californian university.
According to media reports, Naresh's university friends called up his parents and informed them that he went missing in the river after he slipped from the boat during a weekend getaway.
However, neither the parents nor the local police officials received any official communication regarding Naresh's missing from the US police or from the Indian authorities in the USA.
