YSRCP President YS Jagan, in his yet another desperate move to corner the Chandrababu led AP government, met the farmers of the Uddandarayunipalem in Tullur Mandal, where the Amaravati inaugural ceremony was held on Vijaya Dasami. Launching a full throttle attack, Jagan termed the AP government as 'Bihar's jungle raj', where the government is forecfully acquiring the lands of poor farmers in the capital region.
This afternoon, Jagan visited the burnt sugarcane fields and interacted with hundreds of farmers, who reportedly told him that they are not willing to give their lands for capital construction but are helpless as the government is harassing them. Jagan said that he will stop the forceful land grabbing at any cost and that he will pass GOs to give back the lands to the farmers once he comes into power in 2019.
In a fitting retort to Jagan's jungle Raj comments, the state's Minister of Agriculture Prattipati Pulla Rao said that Jagan is comparing AP to Bihar and the government's rule as jungle raj only because of the violent instincts he inherited from his factionist grandfather and father.
The minister further said that they are being informed that it was Jagan's men who burnt the sugarcane fields and that strict actions will be taken on the culprits after a thorough investigation.
