In a surprising turn off events, actress turned politician Vijayasanthi extended her support to her 'Gang Leader' hero Chiranjeevi on his stand on Kapu reservations even as the Megastar is facing the brickbats for his inconclusive stand on the issue.
The former heroine said that Chiranjeevi is 'right' in his stand about the issue of reservation for Kapus. Vijayasanthi's support is rather unexpected since the yesteryear super hit silver screen couple ran into severe ideological differences during the separate Telangana movement where Vijayasanthi lashed out at Chiru for his united Andhra stand.
The former MP, who has been keeping herself away from active politics since long, further demanded both the TDP and BJP parties to resolve the Kapu reservation crisis at the earliest and without causing any loss to the BC communities.
Earlier today, Chiru had written an open letter to the AP CM Chandrababu Naidu demanding that he declare his unanimous support towards Kapu reservations in the Assembly and send the house's decision to the centre to ratify it.
