World’s most reputed brand, Apple is in talks with the Telangana government to set up a new technology development facility in Hyderabad. The talks are said to be at ‘early stage’ and will employ nearly 2,500 people.
According to the reports, Apple wants to lease around 2.5 lakh square feet of office space at the outskirts of the city with real-estate company Tishman Speyer with a total expenditure of around Rs 150 crore.
Apple may consider a permanent campus at a later date. Telangana’s IT Minister, K Taraka Rama Rao and Apple declined to comment on this at such an early stage. But it is reliably learnt that the Apple team made a presentation on January 12 on their proposed investment plans to Telangana government.
