Andhra Pradesh and Telengana states got separated couple of years back, but the war regarding water is still on progress. This is expected to raise to the peak in the coming days. Recently, all the parties in Andhra Pradesh decided to have a round table conference on the topic, “AP ki Jalagandam”, which focuses on the issues AP will be facing due to the upcoming water related projects in Telengana.
This conference exposed few bitter truth for the people of AP. The conclusion from this round table conference is that the state of Andhra Pradesh will face severe shortage of water soon after Telengana completes its pending projects on Krishna and Godavari. Pattiseema project, which AP government successfully completed in the recent times, is stated to go wasted.
Vijayawada is said to be the region which will face desert sort of situation if this water related problem is not addressed by the government of AP in near future. It is known that KCR invited Chandra Babu to discuss on water related issues for the two states. We have to see if Chandra Babu Naidu helps AP people solving the water issue or not.
