Disastrous news is coming out for Andhra Pradesh as various media reports suggesting that Niti Aayog which was assigned to decide the support needed for the state, had recommended no Special Status or special Package to the truncated state.
After the center almost ruled out the Special Status, the state government had pinned hopes on Bihar like package. It is learnt that the center at most may give 3000 Crore to fill the revenue deficit, provide financial assistance for the construction of the capital city and also for the construction of the Polavaram Project.
So far the seven backward districts of Rayalaseema and Uttarandhra were given 350 Crore per year till now and that may be escalated to 700 Crore in the next year. This is nothing more than pea nuts which will not rescue the state which is bogged down by deficit budget and several other problems.
