Senior actor popularly known as Dialogue King, Saikumar is a hugely celebrated actor even in Karnataka. The actor shot to fame in Sandalwood through the super hit cop drama, Police Story, a couple of decades ago.
Saikumar celebrated his 55th birthday on Wednesday and his Kannada fans thronged to the sets of his latest Kannada film to celebrate. Speaking on the occasion, Saikumar said that he will contest in 2018 Karnataka Assembly elections.
Incidentally, Saikumar contested on a BJP ticket from the Bagepalli constituency in Karnataka several years ago and lost the elections. The Dialogue King went on to say that he'll again contest from the same constituency in 2018, but didn't reveal if he'll contest through BJP.
Saikumar also said that he will quit movies and limit himself to social service and politics if he wins the upcoming elections. He further added that his family has a fond association with Karnataka for the last four decades.
