Andhra Pradesh government successfully pacified the Kapu agitation which almost threatened to become a law and order issue. The violence that erupted after Kapu Gharjana in Tuni send jitters in the spine of the state government as it could possibly dent AP image forever.
There are allegations that Opposition Leader YS Jagan Mohan Reddy fanned the issue. It is an open secret in Godavari districts that YSR Congress funded the Kapu Gharjana meeting which was attended by Lakhs of people. Mudhragada who was away from active politics for a long time could not afford such huge meeting otherwise.
After Mudhragada sat for hunger strike, YSR Congress tried its best to make it as an issue between Kapus and BCs. We could clearly see YSRCP leaders on both the sides. However government successfully managed to make sure Mudhragada withdrew his hunger strike and thus, Naidu successfully defended one more bouncer from Jagan.
