As the flow of YSR Congress MLAs in to Telugu Desam Party continues, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy called for a meeting of all MLAs to discuss the strategy to counter the defections and the upcoming budget session. Seven MLAs were absent for the meeting, raising the eyebrows about a possible shift of these MLAs.
YSR Congress MLA Gandikota Srikanth Reddy tried to defend it before media saying that they were absent due to various reasons and there is no need of suspecting them. He even criticized media for airing false reports about their MLAs. Srikanth Reddy’s allegation may have been true if no MLA went out of the party.
So far, Six MLAs and one MLC of YSR Congress Party had joined TDP. The ruling party leaders are hinting at more MLAs joining their party ahead of the budget session and this is giving sleepless night to YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. YSRCP is demanding by-elections in these seats but even if they arrive, the party has several problems to face this elections.
